There are several ways to register the product:

1. Register Online:

This method is simpler, and is recommended. Your computer must be connected to the internet. The first time you run the product you will be prompted to enter your Name and Serial Number as they appear on your receipt. Press OK to complete the registration.

2. Register via Web:

This method is more complicated. We recommend you use the first method, if possible. If the first method fails for any reason, you can also retrieve your Registration Key here. When you Quit from the registration dialog which appears when you first run Graphing Calculator, your Hardware ID will be copied to the clipboard. Paste it into the form below, along with your Name and Serial Number as they appear on your receipt. Press the Submit button to receive your Registration Key. You will need to copy this key and paste it into the registration dialog.

Name:

Serial Number:

Hardware ID:

Name: This must match the name as it appears on the receipt.

Serial Number: This is generated by the ordering system and verifies that you have purchased the software.

Hardware ID: This is generated by your computer to uniquely identify it. It is used by the licensing server to limit the number of computers on which you install the software.

Registration Key: This is generated by the license server using your computer's Harware ID. It will enable the software only on that computer.

3. If you are a SysAdmin installing across a site:

If your institution has purchased a multiple-machine license, you will use the Name and Serial Number provided for that license on each machine. On Mac OS 9, to avoid having to type these repeatedly, you can clone the "System / Application Support / GC3" file into that location on each machine. On Mac OS X, you can clone "/Library/Application Support/Graphing Calculator/registration.txt". This is a text file containing the registration information which is created when you fill out the registration dialog. On Windows, you can clone the registry fields containing the registration information, or you can create a file called "registration.txt" in the Graphing Calculator folder with the name and serial number on separate lines. If this file exists, the Name and Serial Number will be filled out automatically in the registration dialog when the software is run the first time on each machine. If the machine is connected to the internet, pressing return will complete the proccess.
